We would like to thank the Scout shop for coming to our roundtable. They brought many of the items our units need along with the New Adult uniform.
Welcome to Steve Dunham who is the new Lewis and Clark District Executive. He comes to us from the Soaring Eagle District. Steve has been with the Council for five years, and even more years as a Scouting Volunteer.
Blitz Day - Come join the fun 4-7 pm at Vala's pumpkin patch in Gretna. All Scouts and Leaders in uniform attend for free - must be blue, tan or green shirts for youth and tan, yellow or green shirts for Adults. For this event, the Tiger's orange T-shirt is NOT an official uniform.

The BSA has a new adult application. This form includes a new authorization and disclosure statement. You may obtain the new Adult application from the Scouter Services, Roundtable or on line at www.mac-bsa.org. The old forms will not be accepted as of October 1, 2008.
On Sunday, Sept. 28th, the annual Red Ribbon Drug Free Rally will take place 1:00 - 3:00 at Elmwood Park. The event will take place rain or shine and is free to everyone. Attending will complete some of the Cub Scout elective and certain Boy Scout rank requirements.
The following packs have earned there Summertime Pack Award: Pack 470.
The following troops have eared there National Camping Award: T1, T20, T58, T73, T80, T100, T235, T319, T377, T496, and T597.
The following units have achieved the Great Expectation Unit Award: Pack 341, Pack 365, Pack 377, Troop 319, Troop 377, and Troop 597. Every uniform wearing member will receive a special patch. The unit also receives a 5% discount at the Council store.
Unit Commissioner Stu Sutherland received his Commissioner's Award at Troop 88's Court of Honor.
Join us at LSSR October 10-12 for our Fall Camporee. This is a dual event with Ohwahnasee District. There will be a day Camporee and a night Camporee and you will receive two patches. Space is limited to 600 - youth and adults. So sign up early. The cost is $10.00 per person if paid by September 20th, $15.00 after. Webelos and adult partner are only $12.00.
There will be a special commissioner's meeting at 6:15 pm before the October Roundtable to discuss recharters.
The following arrowmen were elected as Vigil Candidates at the summer Conclave: Bryon Gilman C378, Karl Lampe T20, Drew Cuva T377, Will Stott T80, David McBreen T597. Vigil is Oct. 25th-26th at Camp Eagle.
Once you've had your open house or recruitment night, turn in those applications as soon as possible. If you wait until after Sept. 30th, the boys will not appear on your recharter and you will need to list them on the overflow sheet. Also, if you used an old application, you will need to have them fill out a new form, since Scouter Services will not longer accept old applications after Oct. 1st.
The University of Scouting will be held on November 8th at Girls and Boys town. More information is available in the Bugle or on line at www.mac-bsa.org. Plan to attend this great learning opportunity.
